Animal Rescue Center of Utah

Animal Rescue Center of Utah is a non-profit, 501c3, no-kill network of foster homes for adoptable pets searching for their forever families.

To find every pet a forever home and find every home a forever pet.

Animal Rescue Center of Utah Inc. also know as “The ARC" is a non-profit organization dedicated to help end the suffering of unwanted homeless pets in Utah by spaying and neutering those domestic animals and finding safe, loving, permanent homes for those that are in need of one. We provide a “no-kill” haven for dogs, cats and horses, until we are able to adopt them into a home of their own.
The ARC operates solely through donations from individuals, private organizations and businesses that support and believe in our cause. Donations are directed toward ensuring the health and well being of the animals as long as they are with us at the center.
These donations allow us to promote public awareness through our education program, relating to such issues as neglect, overpopulation and propaganda associated with animal rights.
Animal Rescue Center of Utah’s Education Program Director provides the schools and the public with information concerning the importance of spaying and neutering their pets, overpopulation, veterinarian care and vaccines. She offers advice and assistance for new or potentially new adoptive families to help insure a more permanent home for these pets. This part of our program gives children and adults an inside look into “life in a shelter” and promote a better understanding of those concerns and issues for all.
Our Directors and Board Members diligently seek out veterinarians and volunteers to assist us with the care and needs of the animals in our shelter to help promote a clean, healthy environment while the animals are in our care.
We provide “kill” shelters with another option by offering assistance in rescuing “adoptable animals” from them, thus helping to reduce the need for euthanasia in such shelters.
Our “Senior for a Senior” program provides our senior citizens with a free older pet, a “Friend for Life”, to give them companionship until they can no longer care for them. Animal Rescue Center will then take the pet back and try to adopt it out or retire it to our “Animal Retirement Center”.
Our Retirement Center will also help to ease senior citizens concerns about leaving their beloved pets behind when they are no longer with us or able to care for them. We will work with their families and attorneys concerning this sensitive issue, to ensure placement in our center when available. We supply care and medical attention for those pets until such time as their quality of life begins to diminish. The “ARC” will, at that point, determine and assist in the most humane alternative for their precious pet.
Animal Rescue Center Directors will be implementing a program, in the future, to help handicapped children connect with the animals. They can learn to ride a horse, socialize with the cats and dogs and find a special bond that they may not find anywhere else or in any other way.
We also look forward to working with other organizations to find humane alternatives to the ever so prevalent feral cat problem in Utah and hope to accommodate this concern at our center in the near future.
Animal Rescue Center works with the public, other animal rescues, shelters, schools and any other organizations in Utah, who we feel maintains our quality of ideas, as to ensure the most profitable relationship for all involved. The ARC and its staff will do our part and continue to learn, teach, rescue, adopt, support, explore and expand our organization as the need arises.
