High Sierra Animal Rescue

High Sierra Animal Rescue (HSAR) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1999. Located in Plumas County, we are dedicated to saving the lives of homeless adoptable pets and caring for them until they can be placed in new loving homes.

Our Mission: to rescue homeless, adoptable dogs and provide them with the care they need until they can be placed into permanent, loving homes; in addition, to advance pet welfare by raising public awareness of responsible pet ownership.
