Paw Protectors Rescue

Saving Shelter Dogs, Abandoned Dogs, Street Dogs, Abused Dogs, one dog at a time! www.pawprotectors.org

Our Mission Statement:

Paw Protectors Rescue founded in 2011 is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer dog rescue organization serving the Southern California area. Paw Protectors Rescue is dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless for whatever reason, dogs in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect, stray, abandoned, street dogs.

Paw Protectors Rescue place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives.

Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. To the extent our finances allow, dogs in the greatest need take priority.

Finally, Paw Protectors Rescues strives to work with area shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets.

Sharon Logan has been involved with Animal Rescue for the last six years. After actively being involved and supporting various Dog Rescues for three years, Sharon saw a need to create a highly focused animal rescue dedicated to the dogs in the Southern California animal shelters, along with the stray, the abandoned, the abused and homeless dogs of South Central Los Angeles.

Paw Protectors Rescue was founded in 2011 with the goal of helping to alleviate the problem of overcrowding and euthanasia in the Southern California shelters and educating the public on responsible pet ownership including spay and neutering and the consequences of surrendering your pet to an animal shelter. Paw Protectors Rescue became known for their efforts, compassion and empathy in rescuing the abandoned senior dogs and the special medical needs dogs. Paw Protectors Rescue needs new volunteers and fosters!
