Central Texas Rat Rescue is a small rescue operating in Pflugerville, TX dedicated to the rescue of domesticated (pet) rats and quality adoption services.

To rescue domesticated rats by working cooperatively with individuals, shelters, veterinarians, and other animal rescue organizations.

To ensure that each rescued rat is spayed or neutered, health permitting; to provide vet care to injured, ill, or elderly rats; to assess each rat's health and temperament to the best of our ability.

To adopt out rats into loving, permanent homes, facilitating successful adoptions by providing information, advice, and follow-up.

To educate the public regarding rat care, health, behavior, the benefits of spaying and neutering, and the benefits of adopting homeless animals.

Central Texas Rat Rescue is a non-profit, privately-run, in-home rescue located in Pflugerville, Texas. We rescue and adopt out domesticated pet rats throughout the state of Texas. We take in owner surrenders as space and funds permit. All rats are spayed/neutered and assessed for health and temperament before adoption. We are unable to offer assistance with wild rats of any kind.
