DFW Pug Rescue Club, Inc.

DFW Pug Rescue Club (DFWPRC) is a 501(c)3 charity organization, and was incorporated in July 1997 as a non-stock, non-profit corporation for the rescue, care, and placement of unwanted, mistreated, or homeless pugs in Texas.

"No Pug Left Behind"

Mission Statement: DFW Pug Rescue Club, Inc. was formed for the purpose of providing rescue, care, and adoption of unwanted, mistreated, or homeless pugs.

DFW Pug Rescue Club was founded in early 1996 and incorporated in July 1997 as a charitable, non- profit corporation. We are one of the largest pug rescue organizations in the United States having rescued and placed over 7,500 huggable, squeezable, absolutely adorable pugs -- we rescue approximately 10 pugs a week.

Veterinary care is our biggest expense averaging $220,000 a year. This amount is after our veterinary care clinics provide deep discounts. All pugs rescued are taken immediately to the vet where they are examined, tested (and treated) for heartworm, vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped, and rabies shots administered before being placed in a foster or permanent home.

DFWPRC is an all-volunteer, foster-based organization — there are no paid positions.

We do not have a staging area to hold our rescue pugs. We depend on the generosity of our volunteers to provide foster homes until permanent homes can be located.

You can help to promote our mission and be a part of this exciting volunteer opportunity. Please visit our website and social media sites for information on DFW Pug Rescue.

We rescue pugs in Texas, Louisiana, and parts of New Mexico since there are no pug rescues in those other areas!

Only pure bred pugs are considered for intake from both shelters and owners surrendering.
