HAVA (Hava Heart)

HAVA is a non-profit, all volunteer, no kill, animal rescue organization. We serve North Pacific Co, as well as, Grayland and Westport in GH County

HAVA is a 501(c) 3, all volunteer organization dedicated to the welfare and well- being of hundreds of animals each year by providing homeless and abandoned animals shelter, medical care, and new homes. We are a no-kill rescue group and animals in our care are never euthanized because we lack space or they've been with us for “too long.” We have served the people of North Pacific & Grays Harbor Counties for more than 25 years.

HAVA is committed to caring for and finding homes for animals in need, rescuing hundreds of cats and dogs each year. In 2015, HAVA spayed/neutered 540 animals and found homes for more than 375 cats and dogs. Some of the programs we provide include:

• Harry’s House Cat Shelter: We opened Harry’s House in downtown Raymond in 2013. Limited to cats, it includes an isolation room, free roaming room for adult cats, general intake room and a room for kittens and their mothers.

• Low Income Spay/Neuter Program: We provide low cost vouchers to people who need to spay/neuter their pets.

• Frisky Fund: Emergency medical fund for stray animals. Hundreds of sick cats and dogs have been helped since it’s inception 6 years ago.

• Feral Cat Trap Spay/Neuter Program: We trap and spay/neuter more than 150 feral cats each year. Volunteers feed several feral cat colonies in our area on a daily basis.

• Pet Food Bank: More than 25 people rely on our Pet Food Bank each week.

• Freedom Tails Program: HAVA manages this unique program where dogs from shelters/rescues around thearea are trained by inmates at the Stafford Creek Corrections Center in Aberdeen.
