The Cherokee County Animal Shelter was established in 2017. The mission of the Cherokee County Animal Shelter is to improve the quality of life within Cherokee County by providing safety to the citizens and animals, preserving the health and treatment of the animals within the county. Cherokee County Animal Shelter provides a place for safe shelter and temporary care where all animals are treated with upmost dignity and compassion until they can be placed into safe forever homes. Cherokee County Animal Shelter strives daily to adopt and rescue as many animals as possible. Cherokee County Animal Shelter serves as an educational resource for the citizens, teaching pet owners how to better care and encouraging the spaying and neutering of pets.
