To raise awareness of the importance of spay/neutering to help manage the stray and unwanted animal population. To encourage adoptions and perform TNR (trap, neuter, return) with the primary objective to help stray and unwanted animals have a second chance at a better life and a happy home.

Victory 4 The Voiceless is a volunteer based official 501(c)3 organization. All of our lead group members are TNR certified and have years of experience with animal handling and adoptions. We all started as independent rescuers following our hearts and doing what we love to do helping each other through ups and downs throughout the years and now we are our own rescue group.

Our dedicated team consists of the following Animal Advocators/Rescuers/Volunteers: April Soto, Samantha, Betty Wong, Heather Marcus, Jennifer Gagliardi and Maureen Wythe.

The "Victory 4 the Voiceless" team is especially known for the "Staten Island Abandoned Cats" project that we took on during the winter of 2013. This was the biggest hoarding case we took on in the 8 years of answering rescue pleas.

About the SIAC project: Winter of 2013 we made a decision to take on a abandonment hoarding case of 140 cats which the original caretaker was unable to continue to tend to. We chose to take responsibility for these animals lives as oppose to them going to Animal Care & Control which is a high kill city facility. Within 2 months were able to relocate the cats from the original household to a safe house location. We have been able to get them all fully vetted and find good homes for them over this past year. Today we still have over 35 of these original SI abandoned cats and will see the mission through for each and every one of them.

Unfortunately, a few of the remaining cats have special needs such as FIV, cancer, Renal failure, feline asthma etc. This is huge reason why we rely on public donations and local support to be able to supply these animals with the proper vet care necessary.

Our V4V team performs high volume TNR on a monthly basis ALL YEAR ROUND. TNR is Trap Neuter, Return: The humane way of controlling the outdoor stray cat population. We also encourage spay/neuter for Dogs as well and are here to help with low income households to gain access to affordable spay/neuter services.

We have many healthy adoptable cats awaiting their well deserved forever homes. If you cannot adopt, please consider fostering while we continue to find these animals forever homes. Fostering allows a shelter animal the opportunity to adjust to home life and increases their chances at adoption opportunities. All of our cats and dogs up for adoption are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and felines tested for FIV/FeLv. Adoption fees and adoption agreement applies.

We would like to thank the many other rescue groups that stepped up and helped with placing some of the Si abandoned Cats. We could NOT have done it without you! Here's some info on 2 very special cats from the SIAC cats that an amazing group in Ohio opened up their hearts to:

Thomas has cerebellum hypoplasia accompanied by epilepsy disorder and is considered a "special needs" cat. Joey has chronic severe eye infections and was born with a birth defect that forces him to walk on his elbows. Today Thomas and Joey are getting the daily care they need and thriving in Ohio w/ Friends of Felines Rescue. Thank you so much FFRC!
