Reuger is not the only surgery today.
Sweet SOS Noodle was found last fall after having been thrown away like trash, discarded into a canal full of water! He survived for at least 48 hours by clinging to debris swirling around him.

Our vet was very honest when he first assessed Noodle. Take him home and love him. Every day is a gift. So foster mom Pam said send him to me, I can do that.
Meanwhile Noodle had another idea. With all this good food, medicine to help strengthen his heart (Noodle has an enlarged heart), and hugs and kisses from foster mom, Noodle decided staying right here and getting better was the thing to do.
Today, Noodle is finally having surgery on his ears. He’s healthy enough to have this done now. You see on top of everything else, Noodle has two ruptured eardrums from untreated allergies and infections. Ouch. It takes a village and Noodle has a heck of a village. His SOS sponsors include Mishelle B, Darlene McG, Jen and Mike R, and Dennis and Judy C. Grant writers Jackie and Jen. They secured a medical grant from Petco which will take care of Noodle’s surgery today.
We are hoping after today, it might be possible to put this very sweet little man up for adoption. Thank you to all of you who are part of this success.

Reuger is checking in - tomorrow morning we try again.
Last weekend, Reuger's platelet count dropped too low to do surgery. We do not know why but we do know that as of this week, that count was rising again and as of Tuesday was near to normal.

So tomorrow, Friday, 5/15/20, we try again.

Reuger's foster family is nervous but ready. They want only the best for this beautiful young dog. He's described as a lap dog. He thinks he's a little poodle and loves to snuggle and play. Here's a tidbit on Reuger - he puts himself to bed every night at 9:30 pm! Apparently staying up late is not for Reuger.

Foster dad Travis asks that I tell everyone how grateful he is for all of your help. He feels Reuger is worth saving. Thanks to all of you, Reuger will be given every chance.
Post surgery we have 5 nail biting days to get through to make sure it was successful. I will keep you posted.
