Casa Canine's adoption events are the second Saturday of every month at Discount Dan's located at 1010 2nd Street, Sheffield. AL from 10:00 to 2:00

Collie Barker oversees the daily operations of the rescue and is the main contact person for all events and programs.

Casa Canine was established by Collie Barker to address the needs of pets in her community. Collie started out taking care of dogs that were dumped in the neighborhood that were abused and suffered neglect. Then expanded into unchaining dogs in the community by building fences or re-homing and rehabilitating the dogs. Casa Canine also has a dog house and blanket program to help dogs in need in the community. All the dogs that come into the program are fully vetted, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. All potential adopters are screened and home checks are performed before the pets are slowly integrated into their new families. All pets are re-homed as indoor pets only.
