We are dedicated to the care of abandoned, homeless, unwanted, and lost animals. Our goal is to find quality homes for all healthy, adoptable animals, and to only euthanize those too sick or aggressive to be adopted.

We are a government funded animal shelter and animal control that serves the unincorporated 4400 square miles of Torrance County. The cities of Moriarty, Estancia, and Mountainair all have their own animal control officers that service the city limits. For owner turnovers and animals in need of euthanasia, we do require that you call and make an appointment prior to bringing the animal in. We can only accept owner turnovers based on available space. Owner turnovers and euthanasia appointments will only be scheduled Monday through Thursday.
