Galway Cat Rescue is a group of animal lovers, who want to reduce the misery of stray and feral cats in Galway and prevent the birth and suffering of future generations by TNR
(Trap-Neuter-Return). This involves trapping feral cats by using humane traps, getting them spayed/neutered as well as any required medical attention and then returning them to their original location. We try to rehome as many kittens as possible but we don't have a sanctuary, so space is limited in foster homes. We rely on the help and donations of our friends and the community to continue the work that we do. When you contact us, please keep in mind, we are only a few volunteers and Galway Cat Rescue doesn't run a shelter. Public funding covers less then 5% of our expenses and we don't receive any other support by Galway City or County.
