Special Best Friends Dog Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and adopting handicapped dogs in the Tallahassee, Florida area.

Special Best Friends Dog Rescue focuses on rescuing handicapped dogs from inhumane or inappropriate conditions, as well as providing medical care at reduced costs for rescued dogs and previously adopted dogs.

Special Best Friends Dog Rescue was founded in October 2017 as a response to the increasing amount of handicapped dogs neglected or even abused throughout the Tallahassee, Florida area. In order to counter such issues, Special Best Friends provides reduced to free medical treatment for rescued dogs and previously adopted dogs. Each dog that arrives as Special Best Friends is spayed or neutered, as well as chipped and vaccinated in order to ensure an optimal quality of life. In addition, any necessary equipment (i.e., wheelchairs) will also be provided at reduced or free costs.
