ELR depends on foster homes to be able to pull animals from Animal Services Center to help save lives. In foster homes, the animals learn how to live in a home. Fosters work with house breaking, crate training, etc. The animals are fully vetted and we learn more about their personalities that being in a shelter environment doesn't really do. We learn if they are good with other dogs, cats, kids, etc. depending on what the foster home has.
