For the Love of Dogs is a non-profit dog rescue that rescues mostly senior dogs left behind when their owner passes or have to go to nursing homes.

For the Love of Dogs was founded because of our commitment to finding permanent homes for dogs that have abandoned, abused and/or neglected. We are a small non-profit, 501 (c)(3) shelter located in southeast Tennessee. Our focus now is mostly rescuing senior dogs who have been abandoned by their families at a time when they need a family more than ever. Although we have very limited funding and few volunteers, we house and provide medical care for those dogs in need. We work to find permanent, caring, loving homes for out rescued dogs. All our dogs are spayed/neutered before leaving to their "forever" homes. They are also up-to-date on all vaccinations.
