Animal Services is a government owned and operated animal control facility, certified and inspected by the State of Illinois.
Boone County Animal Services mission is to provide animal control services to the residents of Boone County. These services include rabies exposure investigations, the timely and effective enforcement of animal related County ordinances and State laws, impoundment of stray dogs, vicious, sick or injured animals, to promote responsible pet ownership in our community including information about the spaying and neutering of pets, and to provide safe and sanitary housing for animals that are impounded.
