DCAC Urgents

The purpose of this page is to promote the animals that are at a higher risk of euthanasia at Daviess County Animal Control in Owensboro, KY.

This is a volunteer-run page that strives to promote the urgent animals at Daviess County Animal Control so that they may get a second chance at finding a forever home. The volunteers who manage the page are passionate about helping find homes for Owensboro's homeless animals and do their best to update this page in their spare time. No official DCAC staff members are responsible for this page.

Daviess County Animal Control takes in all of the stray and unwanted animals from both Daviess and McLean Counties. This is the only open door intake facility in the city and intake is around the clock all year long. The shelter takes in approximately 4,500 animals a year.

The staff and volunteers work hard to place all adoptable animals into rescues, adoptive homes, or foster care, but unfortunately there is not enough space. These animals need YOU to get them into loving homes and keep them alive!

The purpose of this page is to specifically promote the animals that are at a higher risk of euthanasia at the shelter. This page works in direct correspondence with our other FB page: www.facebook.com/FriendsofDaviessCountyAnimalShelter. Check out both pages and help save a life today!!
