Our mission is to promote humane animal care by managing and maintaining a volunteer pet fostering and adoption program for the Meade County Animal Shelter.

The Meade County Animal Shelter is run by 2 Animal Control Officers who are most often out picking up strays, herding livestock from a roadway or performing various other duties in the community. It is difficult to reach someone at the shelter. The best thing to do is call and leave a message. If you have a question about an adoptable pet, becoming a volunteer or fostering a pet please send a message to this page.
