TLZPS is a conservation and educational organization dedicated to the protection and exhibition of parrots and their habitats.

The Landing Zone Parrot Sanctuary is a non-profit Californian corporation which rescues and provides permanent shelter for parrots as well as works to educate the public on the importance of preserving parrots and their habitats as their numbers are quickly diminishing, through elimination of their natural habitats and almost equally through the North American pet trade.

Nestled at the foot of the Little San Bernadino Mountains in beautiful Thousand Palms, California, the Landing Zone Parrot Sanctuary plans to be an indoor, climate controlled avian center and will provide entertainment and education in a comfortable environment for our resident parrots and our visitors year round.

With your help, our efforts will allow children and adults to visit and view Parrots of many varieties in a recreation of the species' natural habitat in order to gain rare insight about how the creatures we know now as 'cage-dwellers' live and interact in their natural flocks.

Our education programs are currently under development.

The planned sanctuary center will press the seriousness of extinction and importance of conservation to our youngest generations with the hopes of a brighter, more Earth sensitive future.
