Morgan County Animal Shelter is County operated and we are not a rescue facility. We are a dog only shelter and intake strays, abandoned and surrendered dogs from Morgan County.


We are a dog only shelter for Morgan County Kentucky governed by the Morgan County Fiscal Court.
We shelter abandoned/strayed and surrendered dogs of Morgan County.

Adoption applicants must have a veterinarian reference to be approved for adoption. The adoption fee is $90.00 which covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, internal parasite control and Rabies vaccination and Heartworm test.
