Shooting Star is a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue offering rehabilitation, placement and sanctuary to equines. We are GFAS verified.

Our mission is to offer rescue, rehabilitaton, and eventual placement to those equines coming to us due to abuse, neglect, owner surrender or due to slaughter risk. Shooting Star offers sanctuary to those horses unable to be placed into permanent homes of their own due to blindness or chronic conditions. We also strive to offer community education and temporary owner assistance when possible in order to keep horses in caring homes while preventing the need for further placement.
