The mission of Orphan Acres Inc., an Equine Rescue and Sanctuary, is to provide care and rehabilitation for abandoned, neglected, abused, and malnourished horses, while educating the public regarding the issues surrounding rescue and rehabilitation including all aspects of horse ownership and care.

Stretched across the rolling hills of the palouse, Orphan Acres provides a last resort home for horses and all animals that need more care and love to find a new home, we provide treatment and medical care as well as a permanent home for animals that we feel have been through so much in their lives that they should stay in a stable loving environment. We are volunteer based non-profit and are able to house the over 60+ horses we have with generous donations from the public. Feel free to stop by, just shoot us an email or call first.
