LPR is a non-profit dog rescue. We take in approximately 1000 dogs a year. All dogs are completely vetted and socialized in hopes of finding forever homes!

The organization focuses on the promotion of Spay/Neutering pets. If the population is controlled then the shelters and rescues would not continue to be filled to capacity, and the euthanization rates would decrease.

The Lucky Puppy Rescue is located on a 125 acre family farm in Bonifay, Florida. When new rescue dogs are brought in they are welcomed and cared for in a clean and secure kennel located at "The Lucky Puppy Lodge" This lodge is a two bedroom furnished cottage that is available for weekend or vacation rentals for families that want to explore life on a farm.

All days begin with an early morning walk through a combination of woods and pasture and trails. The dogs have ample opportunity for exercise and quite often complete these walks with a splash and swim in the pond. There are lots of chances for quiet naps throughout the day. Usually before doggie dinner is served there is another long walk about the farm to finish off the day. Founder, Teri Mattson will tell you that when she is walking with the pack and watching them play, she often feels that she is the "Lucky" one in this rescue!
