Lil' Rascals Refuge Inc.

Lil' Rascals is a small 501(c)(3) non profit, all volunteer, foster based dog rescue taking in retired breeder 'Angels'.

Our mission is to take in Retired Breeder dogs 'Angels', place them in to a foster home that fits their specific needs, provide them with the most exceptional care and find them the best forever homes!

Lil' Rascals Refuge is a small rescue operation run by a mom and 2 awesome daughters! Lil' Rascals Refuge is a 501c3 non profit organization, helping one animal at a time.... Their lives are in our hands. We are their guardians, WE ARE THEIR VOICE. Lil' Rascals is a small foster based dog rescue. Taking retired breeders in under our wings is what we do. LRR is an all breed dog rescue. At Lil' Rascals we place the 'Angels' into approved foster homes while they await their forever home, provide exceptional veterinary care and work with them to get ready to go to their forever homes. The three of us started out by volunteering at the local shelter. By volunteering at the shelter we realized we needed to do something. At first we just started by taking in animals that people didn't want. They would stay here at our home. As the need started to grow so did we. Now we have a wonderful group of amazing fosters, volunteers and transporters! We became licensed by the state as an animal shelter (400297-DS) and received our 501(c)(3) non profit status. Since our founding in 2013 we have adopted out 240 dogs and counting! We also advocate for spaying and neutering your pet(s) and adopting instead of buying. We like to focus our time on the retired breeder dogs. In our area Puppy Mills are a huge problem. One of our goals is to also educate the public about puppy mills and what these dogs endure having to live in a puppy mill.

Here at Lil' Rascals Refuge our mission is to provide quality care and an environment in which they will flourish until they are able to find their forever home. We work hard to match families and individuals that apply to adopt, with the best suitable companion. Our thorough adoption process , which includes completing an adoption application, doing a phone interview and home visit enables us to make sure the dogs we adopt out are going to the best home possible.

Each dog that comes to us is physically/medically assessed, goes through our intake process, which includes getting vaccinated, microchipped, given preventatives and groomed if necessary and the dog is then placed in an approved foster home, that is suited to fit their needs. At the foster home the dogs will be cared for, worked with and receive veterinary care while they await their forever home. While in a foster home all of our rescue dogs are provided with high quality dog food, a soft bed/blanket, toys and any other supplies they may need.
