Animal Shelter & Learning Center (Hendricks County)

Misty Eyes Animal Shelter & Learning Center will be dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and cats in the communities that we serve, providing compassionate shelter, care and adoption services for homeless and unwanted dogs. We will help individuals and families find a pet that is an appropriate match for their household. We will not euthanize for space; animals remain in our care until they find their "forever home." We will also provide community outreach; spay/neuter assistance and a fun and interactive humane education learning center for children and adults.

It is our goal to increase adoption rates, lower the counties higher than average euthanasia rate, educate our community on the importance of responsible pet ownership and help to make Hendricks County a great place to live. Our organization will be funded through private donations and fundraising efforts.
