Our first priority and commitment is to the well being of all animals entering
the shelter. All homeless animals of Rock Island County are welcome regardless of breed, color, size or age. No animal is ever turned away.
Quad City PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) is a private non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to support the needs of the animals of the Rock Island County Animal Care & Control Shelter. The Quad City Paws organization fully supports the goals shown below. These goals were established by the Rock Island County Animal Care and Control Board of Directors and Rock Island County.
Our Mission:
To protect the welfare, health and safety of pets and people and promote responsible pet ownership.
Our Philosophy:
To be progressive in the animal welfare field by providing quality care to the animals; an aggressive spay and neuter program; and striving for placement of all adoptable pets where euthanasia is performed as a last resort.
