Don’t stop petting me, lady!!
Pepper usually communicates very clearly when he wants — or doesn’t want — to be touched. We still pause now and then to confirm that he’s enjoying the interaction.
What do you see in this video? How do we know that Pepper wants to be petted?

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee! Them paws can't hit what they can't see!

Pepper is such a good boy, he’s been working on his manners since he arrived and safe to say - he’s doing great! Even learned how to use a fork.
Help us help dogs like Pepper by becoming a volunteer! Visit our website at meridianrescue.org or email us at volunteer@meridianrescue.org to learn more.
See you soon!

Butterbean has recently learned to lie down on a mat. Here, we’re starting to add the “On Your Mat” cue during one of his training sessions.

Play breaks added to training sessions can help improve focus and, when incorporated properly, can provide your dog with frequent opportunities to practice impulse control.

We are getting ready to celebrate your generosity this November 30th! What a year…we were able to help families with their pets, help dogs find forever homes and work with our dogs to keep improving thanks to their training and enrichment programs. We struggled a lot this year due to lack of resources (human and monetary) but thanks to YOU we were able to continue our mission during 2021. We have amazing plans to go back on track and keep helping more families with their pets! And of course help more dogs that needs us. Help us creating awareness about our mission and to have a great start for 2022!

Pepper: Wanna cuddle?
Us: Why, yes. Yes, we do.
Cuddle time is a very important part of Pepper’s day. ❤️
