Arizona Animal Rights Foundation

Arizona Animal Rights Foundation

Arizona Animal Rights Foundation (AARF) was created in June 2011. (Application for our 501(c)(3) status is pending.)

Our mission is to end the cruelty, suffering, abuse, and neglect of animals in Arizona by protecting and advocating for their rights. Our vision is to elevate the status of animals in Arizona to beyond that of disposable property and to ensure that they are respected as cherished members of our families and appreciated inhabitants of our environment.

AARF will use all lawful means necessary to achieve the following objectives:

1. Provide education and information to the public regarding issues of animal abuse in the State of Arizona.
2. Lobby lawmakers for the purpose of passing specific strict laws and creating additional agencies to monitor and protect the welfare of animals in our state.
3. Monitor local animal-centered businesses, such as veterinary offices, stores, breeders, shelters, exhibits, and entertainment venues, in order to protect the welfare of these animals.
4. Offer assistance to low-income and homeless individuals and families with pet-related costs such as food, spaying and neutering, and microchipping.
