Darbster Kitty

ALL ADOPTABLE ANIMALS COME SPAYED/NEUTERED & MICROCHIPPED
Our goal is to place kittens (some cats and an occasional dog) with forever homes in New England.

The purpose of this foundation is to assist in animal welfare and animal rights efforts through education, charitable contributions and direct sponsoring of animal care such spaying and neutering. The Darbster Foundation promotes animal interests in the local community by supporting the efforts of local residents both in New Hampshire and Florida. The Darbster Foundation is funded through profits of Darbster and Darbster Dog Daycare.

In 2015, the Foundation sponsored the spay/neuter surgeries of 956 community animals and assisted with the medical care of an additional 50+ community animals. In efforts to achieve the “Countdown to Zero,” Darbster Foundation pulled over 300 kittens from local shelters and made 45 trips to Opa-Locka, FL to deliver the rescued kittens to Ameriflight, a cargo flight company that is a part of Pilots and Paws, a non-profit foundation where volunteer pilots fly rescued animals to their new homes. Ameriflight then flew our kittens to their forever homes in New England. Along with the kittens, 10 dogs were pulled and adopted out as well. To help coordinate the adoptions and foundation activities, Darbster Foundation purchased a facility in Manchester, New Hampshire- affectionately known as Darbster Kitty.

Also in 2015, we became a member of the Amazon Smile Foundation. Already shop through Amazon? Use Amazon Smile, choose Darbster Foundation, and you will be donating 0.5% to help community animals. You enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as Amazon.com. Prime is also offered through Amazon Smile.

In 2014, the Foundation funded two major spay/neuter events. Overall we provided funds for 1,135 spay neuter surgeries. 644 of these were performed at Peggy Adams and 491 at Palm Beach Animal Care and Control. Sadly, last year Palm Beach County still had to put down 8,522 cats and dogs (6094 cats and 2428 dogs). The good news is that this number is down approximately 15% from 2013.

We are an offshoot of Darbster Foundation. At Darbster Kitty, our goal is to place kittens, some cats and dogs, with great, forever homes in New England. The kittens are primarily from South Florida where the euthanasia rates are very high. New Hampshire has a zero euthanasia rate and a shortage of kittens.

Our kittens will go to their new homes tested negative for FeLV/FIV and a clean bill of health. They will also be fixed and UTD on shots, including a microchip. A complimentary month of pet insurance will be issued upon adoption. We will not adopt out any animal that is not spayed or neutered.

Our adoption fee is $145.
*We will discount if adopting more than one

*Please note that every approved adopter is required to put down a non-refundable $25 deposit (this will go towards your adoption fee) to hold a kitten.

Dog adoption fees are on a case by case basis. All our dogs come fixed, UTD on shots, microchipped, tested for heartworm, and dewormed. Application and pre-approval as well as deposit pertains to our dogs as well. If you are in search of a specific dog, please inquire. More than likely, we can find you what you have been searching for!

We would like to thank Pilots and Paws for giving us the opportunity to be able to send our four legged friends north and Ameriflight, LLC for flying our beloved animals and taking such great care of them!
