Our Mission

The Mission of Fayetteville Animal Protection Society, Inc. (FAPS) is to provide a licensed North Carolina No-Kill haven for homeless animals in this area and place them into PERMANENT homes where they will be treated as family. Animals are pulled from high-kill shelters or accepted as owner surrenders via appointment. We are dedicated to reducing pet over-population via spay/neuter, promoting responsible ownership and education.

Fayetteville Animal Protection Society, Inc. (FAPS) is the only Cumberland County No-Kill, non-profit animal shelter supported by volunteers, grants and individual contributions. FAPS receives no state or federal funding to operate and relies solely on the community to support its mission in rescuing and successfully placing companion animals in their forever homes.

CAT ADOPTION $90

Adoption Fees include:
Spay (female) or neuter (male), microchipped and registered to you, full vaccinations, deworming, heartworm tested, heartworm treated (dogs), up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventative, and FeLV/FIV tested (cats).
In addition, we provide any and all needed additional medical care including diagnostics, treatment and surgery for infection, disease and injury. We do everything possible to ensure you adopt a fully vetted and healthy pet!
