The Hudson Valley SPCA is a unique shelter. Not only do we provide the only NO KILL facility in the Newburgh, New York area, but we are also the only source of Humane Law Enforcement in Orange County. Our dedicated staff and team of volunteers protect and defend animals and actively seek loving homes for each and every one of them – homes where they will be cared for and loved for the rest of their lives.

The Hudson Valley SPCA does NOT receive funds from federal, state or local municipalities. And we are NOT funded by the national organization, the ASPCA.

Our work is funded solely by donations from our supporters.

When you donate to the Hudson Valley SPCA, you can be sure that your contribution is used wisely. Over 75% of donations go directly to animal care with remaining funds going to support services.
