Animal Welfare League NSW - North Coast Branch

A small branch of dedicated volunteers helping local animals in North Coast NSW, including running a Cat Adoption Centre in Mullumbimby.

The Animal Welfare League NSW has volunteer-operated branches across New South Wales.

North Coast Branch has been operational for almost twenty years. It is run entirely by volunteers, dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in the local area, caring for surrendered, neglected, or abandoned cats, and rehoming them to a loving home.

Our branch area covers from Tweed Heads in the north to Coffs Harbour in the south.

We operate a Cat Adoption Centre in Mullumbimby, where surrendered cats are cared for, prior to adoption.

Money is raised through a variety of regular fundraising events, (such as sausage sizzles, street stalls, and local markets), and from donations.

We don’t receive any government funding towards the care, health and welfare of animals in our care.

We welcome animal lovers with time available, to assist at the cattery, as foster carers for very young kittens, to help with fundraising, handymen for small maintenance jobs at the cattery, and anyone with good computer skills.

Monthly meetings held at Ex Services Club, Mullumbimby, second Wednesday of every month, at 5.30 pm.
