Charlie’s Animal Rescue centrE, started in Jan’13 by a group of animal lovers who thought that Bangalore was in need of a shelter for stray animals.

CARE was started in January 2013 by Ms. Sudha Narayanan, Wg. Cdr. A. T. Lingaraj, Dr. H. D. Lohith, Ms. Chitra and Ms. Megha Vijay, to help stray and abandoned animals of Bangalore City find a place where they could be housed, given timely medical aid, rehabilitated and rehomed. The Rescue Centre was set up on half an acre of land close to the picturesque Jakkur Lake, Yelahanka, Bangalore.
