We are a newly licensed animal rescue focusing on felines. We also offer lost/stray services reuniting pet/human. Hamilton County IA.

Kitty City R&R strives to help maintain and control the overpopulation of felines in the Hamilton County area. We are also offering ' Hamilton Animal Services' as a small portion of our rescue, to assist lost and stray animals either into a new home or reunited with their owners. You can also call us at (515) 826-CATS with any questions regarding grooming, 'how to' on nail trimming, bathing, where to locate your lost animal, where to adopt a new family pet, and more! We are striving to help the citizens of not only Stanhope, but Hamilton County, have somewhere to call for advice, whether on excessive barking, a stray cat, abuse, 'hoarding' and more. In the future we are hoping to get all of Hamilton County on board with full Animal Control services, be it thru Kitty City, or an additional source. We also hope to offer low cost spay and neuter services, possibly full grooming and even boarding. We have been called on more than once to assist in 'hoarding' or ' compulsive keeping' . We have a super board of directors, and a great director.

All of our felines are fully vetted prior to adoption, being spayed or neutered, vaccinated with age appropriate vaccines, wormed, and hopefully soon microchipped and felv/fiv tested. The latter two are quite spendy, and we aren't to the point of keeping up on them while keeping our adoption fees low. We do have many who are chipped and tested now, and will do so as often as we can.

If there are kittens too young for certain surgeries or vaccines, we will arrange adoption thru an early release contract.

We do have foster homes that house dogs for us, so check our page for that as well! Dogs will also be vetted as cats are, including microchip.

While we work as a ' volunteer' group running Kitty City, we cant set normal day to day hours. We are working on getting more volunteers to help you, and us! We do all we can to meet you whenever you are available, and cant wait to have normal visiting hours for passers by!
