This page is developed to bring awareness and educate about the exotic bird.. They are not for everyone and sometimes either because of financial reasons , relocation or behaviors the owners are not able to keep them.

The name Big Wings comes from my first rescued mccaw who was found in a terrible living situation. When we took him he was under weight, withdrawn and violent. As he recovered in our home he became more social. One day he held his wings out and said BIG Wings. It was thd beginig to his emotional recovery. He stole my heart and inspired us to take on other b irds in need.

Rescued or turned in birds will be offered for an adoption fee to cover their vet
care and feed. Please check back often to see our aviary birds and the babies in the nursery. We will post birds that have beed turned in for adoption as well.
