To prevent animal suffering from overpopulation by way of a spay/neuter subsidy program. To eliminate neglect and abusive treatment of livestock by enforcing the statutes according to the Ohio Revised Code and additionally to promote education in the humane care and maintenance of all animals.

Our History
The Humane Society of Greene County has been in existence since 1961. Throughout the years it has helped animals and people in a variety of ways. Currently the Society works to prevent animal suffering through our spay/neuter subsidy program by controlling the overpopulation of dogs and cats. We also prevent livestock abuse and neglect by the enforcement of the laws contained in the Ohio Revised Code. Education is available through individual counseling or group events and can cover any aspect of humane treatment to all animals.
