The Delta Humane Society & SPCA has been serving San Joaquin County and surrounding counties placing over 30,000 animals into homes since 1966.

The Mission of the Delta Humane Society & SPCA is to promote the humane treatment of animals and to promote the bond of caring between humans and animals. We do not destroy our animals. We accomplish our mission by providing shelter, care and adoption services for misplaced pets. We seek to educate and make the county's citizens aware of their responsibilities in the crisis of pet overpopulation. We promote public awareness for the care of all animals in our world.

As one of California's oldest No Kill animal shelters the Delta Humane Society & SPCA is proud to be the serving the Stockton Metropolitan Area. We provide adoption services for abandonedhomeless pets and more recently the unheard and unseen victims of the foreclosure crisis.

Our education facility provides much needed information about pet related issues to the Stockton Community and helps train Volunteers to further promote the shelter's mission.
