Animal Tails Rescue

We help stray/abandoned/neglected/abused animals find forever homes through adoption and rescue efforts.

Mission
Animal Tails Rescue’s mission is to work within our communities through volunteers to provide help for stray, abandoned, and neglected animals through adoption, rescue to approved organizations, and educate and encourage spay and neuter practices in Crenshaw County.

Goals
• To decrease the stray population in Crenshaw County by spaying and neutering all animals we take in before adopting them out, and/or providing affordable options for those that currently have pets that need to be spayed/neutered.
• To recruit and retain enough committed volunteers to meet the ongoing operational needs.
• To provide approved rescue organizations that we work with healthy, adoptable animals that they can take in and relocate to areas that have applicants that desire to adopt pets as new additions to their family unit.
• To decrease the need for euthanasia among the stray population in Crenshaw County while decreasing the stray population itself.
• To achieve ongoing financial stability for Animal Tails Rescue with a diverse base of donors, funders, and income-producing activities.
• To work with any present and future animal advocate organizations in our area, and to support any future county animal shelter.

Objectives
• When transferrable animals are available in our care, we will complete a minimum of 10 healthy/vetted pet transfers a month to approved rescue groups in the United States.
• We will complete a minimum of 1 adoption per month to an approved family.
• We will transport a minimum of 3 animals per month to Alabama Animal Alliance to provide spay/neuter surgeries.
• We will recruit a membership base of at least 20 volunteers who will each donate an average of 3 hours per month to our organization’s needs.
• We will implement a schedule of monthly fundraising events and donation opportunities that will raise a minimum of $8000 by the end of the 2015 calendar year.
• By July 31, 2015 we will begin distribution of a newsletter/brochure for Animal Tails Rescue to provide the public with our updates and success in meeting our goals.
• We will provide the public with updates on our progress in adoptions and rescue commitments through social media, newspaper ads/article, and emails.
