To assist persons diagnosed with terminal illness in caring for their pets and providing support services, as well as peace of mind, during their difficult transition.

For those hospice patients receiving in-home care who are unable to care for their pets as they once were, Tree of Life offers assistance with, walking, grooming, veterinary appointments, feeding etc. Tree of Life is also able to negotiate low or no cost service where necessary.
For those patients who wish to "re-home" their animals, Tree of Life offers placement assistance to eligible animals.
For those patients who wish to keep their pets with them until their passing, Tree of Life contractually offers a guaranteed space in our no kill sanctuary, or in one of our loving foster homes, while we search for a suitable new home for their pet, even if that means the pet will live out the remainder of its life in our care.
For hospice patients in assisted facilities we offer transportation for their pets to visit them where permitted.
Our pet care services are also offered to eligible seniors who are experiencing long term illnesses or hospitalizations.
Animals are available for adoption, with preference given to members of hospice families.
