Our mission is to save as many homeless or in need companion animals as we can. It takes a village!

Our pets are located in North Carolina but are available for adoption in North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia.

This page is dedicated to finding the pets in It Takes A Village Animal Rescue forever, loving homes. We are a FOSTER HOME BASED rescue and rely on fosters and donations to keep going. We are primarily located in Eastern NC, but our founder is from New Jersey and travels there often.

Our pets are spayed, neutered, FELV & FIV tested (cats) and vetted before adoption. We believe in trying to decrease the number of homeless and in need animals on the streets and in shelters. Spaying and neutering is key!

Just to clarify, we are not animal control or a government animal shelter. Our adoptable animals are not at danger for euthanasia if they are not adopted within a time limit. They are welcome here as long as it takes to find them that perfect home.

Our adoption prices are $75 for males and $90 for females.
