NEAST is a non profit registered charity which is privately run by a small group of animal lovers who have come together to rehome domestic pets in need.

Our aim is to provide a safe haven for abandoned, uncared for and stray animals that are in need of help and rehoming.

North East Animal Sanctuary Tasmania is a non-profit organization that provides a service to the community by taking in stray, unwanted, abandoned animals such as cats, dogs, puppies and kittens and other wildlife that need assistance.

Providing a happy, caring, dignified, loving and safe environment to commence rehabilitation programs that will help to ensure successful permanent re-homing solutions within the community.

All of these animals will receive health checks, vaccinations, micro-chipping, neuter/spaying and flea/worm treatments to provide the best outcome for these animals so they are ready for their permanent home.



North East Animal Sanctuary Tasmania is a non profit organization that is privately run by a small group of like-minded animal lovers who have identified a gap in the animal welfare section within North East Tasmania, and have come together to rescue and re-home domestic pets in need.

We care for these animals in our own homes and NEAST HQ remains a place where we quarantine our animals before they get vaccinated and go into foster care.
We will also strive to educate owners and potential owners on animal health and maintenance and aim to reduce the number of unwanted litters within the area via education and a strict in house policy on neutering.

Long term we would also like to implement programs that can help people keep their pets, whether it's to secure their yard better, training for their animal or to help them find the right help if they are in difficult family situations
