Hardin County Humane Society

The Hardin County Humane Society is a 501(c)3 organization comprised of volunteers and supported by generosity and hard work!

The Hardin County Humane Society was founded in 1998 by a group of compassionate citizens in response to the recognized need to help animals in Hardin County. The Humane Society of Hardin County is a 501 © (3) non-profit organization ran solely by volunteers dedicated to serving and protecting the animals of Hardin County. We are not affiliated with the county ran dog shelter, pawsitive pals, the Humane Society of the United States, etc and get no outside funding besides approved grants. We do not currently have a building to house animals due to affordability, however, we have several programs and fundraisers to assist our community. We hold Pet Food Pantry monthly to pass out food to needy households. We have Bingo most Wednesday nights as our biggest fundraiser that supports mortgage, bills, programs, etc. We have a low cost spay and neuter program that has assisted thousands of hardin county animals. We have a foster/adoption program where we rehome animals through in house foster homes also and are always looking for foster homes so that we may help more animals! Volunteers are welcome!
