Horse Haven Montana Rescue & Adoption

Horse Haven Montana is a not for profit, 501c3 equine rescue and adoption organization in western Montana but we work with groups and individuals nationwide to help horses in need of new homes or other types of care, training or resources

Education and Understanding to Enhance the Equine/Human Bond and To Improve the Welfare of the Horse

Horse Haven Montana Rescue & Adoption will work with you to help find a new home for your horse or other equine (mini, mule, donkey, etc.). We also encourage and use foster homes as a temporary measure when a permanent home may not always be readily available. HHMT also offers education, referrals to other resources, and occasionally, assistance through trainers and other equine specialists whenever possible. Through donated hay and other services, we can sometimes help with an interim, temporary situation until a permanent home or solution can be found. While we cannot help every horse and human in every situation, we do our best through multiple resources and a very wide network of people and equine experts to try to find a solution for a horse in need.

Horse Haven Montana is not a sanctuary which means that we don't take in an unlimited number of horses. But we will work with anyone to try to solve the crisis or the situation that will benefit the horse and the human. The process can take anywhere from a week to many months, but our goal always is to help a horse in need.
