Farralone Farms is a certified 501C 3 (Established in 2010) horse rescue organization located in Chatsworth, CA in the San Fernando Valley right off the 118 freeway. We rescue horses, mini's, donkeys and mules from horse and live stock auctions in Southern California.. We always have at least a handful of ex race horses in the barn. Ex racers that are 100% sound and healthy also end up at the meat auctions days after their last race straight off the track and others are found in their teens or older at various end of the line auctions. We rescue all breeds and our barn is home to a colorful variety of breeds of all ages but the Thoroughbred is our main focus and expertise..

Immediately after rescue we assess our new horses to figure out their rehabilitation plan. Many need a month or two to just relax and eat plenty food. We have their teeth floated, feet trimmed, worming and vaccinations taken care of. We do gelding surgeries if a stallion and take care of any health issues.
We have many wonderful riding and companion horses available for adoption at any time.
Some horses have exciting new careers and lives ahead of them in the show ring or on the trails. Others can not be ridden and will make fantastic companion horses and family pets. Divison of Los Angeles Pet Rescue
