We provide permanent care and refuge to donkeys who are elderly, abused or have long term medical conditions... also love and care for the ones who have been abandoned and no longer needed, for the rest of their lives.

Since 2004.. our volunteer family of Cretan/ New Zealand blood run a donkey sanctuary on the remote & rugged South Coast of the Island of Crete.. dedicated to helping working, abandoned, sick and unwanted donkeys. No donkey will ever be turned away, each will be cared for and loved for the remainder of their life.. we also offer care our and support to
donkey owners in surrouding villages and their hard working often very neglected donkeys through our Outreach Team visits by GAWF & GAWG with farriers and dentist.
