SVPAP Animal Protection Society (Valencia, Spain) is a non-profit organization engaged with giving shelter to abandoned and/or mistreated animals.

The objectives of the SVPAP are summarized in performing all activities and legal actions necessary to improve the living conditions of the animals and the environment.

The SVPAP considers that the problem of abuse, neglect and cruelty to animals is an educational issue, so it carries out a program with all kinds of information and education campaigns at different levels.

The problem of abandoned and abused animals is the responsibility of the municipalities, which have to comply with and enforce existing laws and SVPAP will ensure that they assume these responsibilities, working with them or denouncing in cases of default.

The unwanted births provoke an excess of animals and their consequent abandonment, so SVPAP recommends sterilization in many cases. SVPAP conducts informative campaigns to raise awareness of the various types of sterilization and their advantages.

Any person can be a member of the SVPAP by filling up the enrollment application (www.svpap.com/component/chronoforms/?chronoform=Solicitud_de_inscripcion), by paying a minimum annual fee of 48 €.

Any person, whether or not a member , can collaborate with SVPAP in the various working groups that are running or participating in the tasks performed in the shelter.

SVPAP is open to collaboration with institutions and related groups and associations for joint programs which are designed to protect the animals and the environment.

Here in Spain, due to the economic crisis and the lack of awareness, the government has denied us assistance and support for our animal shelter

We are dependent on external charity

We have been unable to repay debts that should have been repaid months ago, a situation which could lead to a seizure order AT ANY TIME, which in turn would be a death sentence for the more than 500 animals that live in our shelter.

We have more than 3,000 friends on Facebook. If each one of you could spare just a small amount, for example 30 euros, our shelter would be saved. That is why we say: 3,000 x 30!

Any amount, no matter how small it seems to you, is really important! Every little stone helps to make a wall, as we say in Spanish, and our animals need you more than ever!
