Mid Canterbury Animal Shelter is a non profit organisation, a small group of voulnteers who foster and care for animals.


Mid Canterbury Animal Shelter takes into care animals orphaned and abandoned in our community.
All shelter animals available for adoption are vet checked, flea and wormed, and get desexed through the shelter.
Dogs are micro-chipped, de-sexed, vaccinated and registered prior to re-homing.
We always provide the best shelter, food and enviromental enrichment possible, giving 110% to all animals in care.
We are not funded by council or government agencies, we depend on donations and fund raising to finance the daily care of the animals.
All funds recieved through adoption etc goes back into the shelter, to enable us to do what we do.
Our aim, with the help from the community members, is to prevent unwanted pets, and help care for those in need and assist in re-homing where possible.
