Professional Canine Massage Therapy and Reiki Practitioner - Optimizing the lives of Chicagoland pets by providing in-home canine massage therapy and reiki to dogs of all breeds, ages and physical conditions.

I have always been passionate about helping dogs and started volunteering with Chicagoland animal rescues by transporting dogs from high-kill shelters to safety and walking dogs who never got the chance to get out of their crates to exercise. I quickly found my place as a permanent foster parent to many puppies. Over the past 4 years I have opened my home to over 60 foster dogs, founded the Lucida Puppy Fund and with the help of a group of dedicated animal advocates started a canine rescue, Be Fido's Friend.

My initial interest in canine massage came from working with rescue animals. After discussing and researching the benefits of canine massage and how it could help the wonderful dogs in the rescue community, I enrolled in the 200 hour program at Canine Massage Chicago and completed the amazingly influential course. Highly trained in canine anatomy, physiology, and behavior Canine Massage Chicago also allowed me a variety of hands on experience with dogs from all walks of life. Geriatric dogs, hospice dogs, dogs rehabbing from surgery, rescue dogs that are anxious or fearful, the couch potato, and energetic puppies have all allowed me the tremendous priviledge of working on them. I have continued to educate myself in other alternative modalities. I am attuned to the second degree of Reiki and have vast knowledge of canine nutrition and puppy care. It is my goal to help as many dogs possible optimize their quality of life with the services and recommendations provided.

I am a Certified Canine Massage Therapist and Reiki Practitioner (for animals and humans) and a Professional Member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals.

When not working or volunteering at the rescue, I enjoy spending time cooking, traveling and exploring the restaurants of Chicago with my husband, Will, or taking walks with my nine year old chocolate lab, Zeus and the foster puppy frequenting my home.
