Hawkeye & Friends is a forever home, a sanctuary, for the dogs nobody wants; the ones usually passed up for adoption, the dogs many other rescues won't take because they are too hard to adopt. These are the dogs who usually end up at county shelters and are euthanized. Hawkeye & Friends focuses on saving and caring for the dogs who are older, have a handicap, medical problem or behavior issue. The dogs that come to Hawkeye & Friends spend the rest of their lives here, this is their home. The dogs live as a big group and are free to go in & out as they please into two very large fenced-in yards. The only time the dogs are in their individual crate or kennel is during meal time and when their caretaker runs errands. All other times the dogs are free to roam around to run & play & wrestle or just relax and take it easy.
