To reduce the unwanted pet overpopulation even of registered, purebred wiener dogs and to educate the public to hopefully spay and neuter their pets and only breed those with proven show records along with proven health records. We turn away 500+ Dachshunds each year so there is enough puppy mill and backyard breeders already within this market. We rescue around 120 dogs each year only as that is all the time we have for retraining and placing into the right homes for their lifetimes.
